Meetings and partnerships

EUROMEDINCULTURE initiates international meetings where ideas, experiences and artistic practices are discussed and exchanged. These forums are not only the place where ideas are compared, views converge, and links between one culture and another emerge, but also where concrete proposals for cooperative projects and artistic exchanges are realised.

The meetings are held, each time, over several days in one of the member countries of the EUROMEDINCULTURE Network and bring together all types of people involved in the field of culture – decision makers, artists and performers, businesses, students, media, etc.

A Twofold Ambition

The objective of these meetings is twofold. On the one hand it is learning about others during discussions and forums, their differences, the promotion of cultural diversity, and a willingness to be open and be enriched through contact with each other.

On the other hand it is the emergence and development of artistic and cultural projects resulting from meetings between professionals, and the successful formation of partnerships and collaborations.

From Creation to Dissemination

In concrete terms these meetings are the opportunity for the artists and performers to present their work, whatever it may be, in the fields of the video arts, dance, theatre, contemporary art, etc. During these presentations distributors and institutions have the opportunity to buy them in order to distribute them.

As both a cultural melting pot and a place of innovative thinking, these meetings are therefore a very useful tool for partnership, cooperation, and artistic and cultural dissemination.

2008-2010 Meetings

Since 2008 EUROMEDINCULTURE has organised five meetings dedicated to the exchange with, and the learning about, others in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
