On the lips? snow / Ali Chahrour
In this piece, using an intense physicality and a simple yet effective stage design, Ali Chahrour deals with the persistence of memory in people’s lives. Despite efforts to suppress memories, they impose themselves on both the mind and the body. Through On the Lips Snow, Ali Chahrour illustrates – sometimes whimsically and sometimes dramatically – people’s battle with the past and how it results in a new reality. The piece was produced by BIPOD/Maqamat Dance House in Beirut.

Expérience
Ali Chahrour received a Theater Diploma from The Lebanese University in 2010. Chahrour has worked with Maqamat Dance Theatre. In 2011 he participated in artistic residencies with Sasha Waltz and Guests in Berlin, and was invited by Dancing on the Edge to be a guest at the International Choreographic Arts Centre in Amsterdam, On the lips snow, the new creation of Chahrour had been touring in Holland in december 2011 after Beirut and Arab dance platform.
