Circus Summer camp / The Palestinian Circus School
Every year the PCS organizes an international summer school for its advanced students together with foreign circus artists and students. The end of the summer camp is every year a student production that is performed minimum in 5 large cities in the West Bank and in Jerusalem.
This year, the exchange was between the PCS and the LIDO circus school from Toulouse. Courtney Coulson from White Heat productions cam to join us form one month, and plans to make a long documentary about it. She made a 3 and a 11 minute trailer for the documentary narrating the experience of doing circus in Palestine.
Expériences
The Palestinian Circus School - PCS – was founded in Palestine in 2006. It has since been teaching over 250 children and youth in the arts of circus and produced two professional and several student productions. Its show ‘Circus Behind the Wall” was the first production that toured Palestine and internationally to Belgium, France, Germany and Italy, speaking about the world Palestinians live in.
