We are the children of the camp / Alrowwad Cultural and Theater Society

Alrowwad Cultural and theatre Training Center was established ion 1998, with the philosophy of “Beautiful Resistance” against the ugliness of occupation and its violence, using theatre, dance, photography and video, arts and education as means of self-expression, a way to tell your story,

your version of your history, in order to build the peace within before talking about the peace with the others, away to create a future where everybody is a change-maker, and everyone is responsible.

Alrowwad has been pioneer in creating the first professionally trained children theatre group, the first outdoor film festival in Palestine with projection on the wall of separation in 2005, the first fitness program for women in a refugee camp, the first football team of girls in a refugee camp, the first palestinian folktale festival, the first mobile beautiful resistance program, the first mobile playbus program where we create games.
